My Vision & Goals

▲ Three Pillars · One Vision ▲

Rooted in Legacy.Leading in Service.Standing on Business.

IPillar One

Rooted in Legacy.

My vision is to build on the Strong Legacy of our chapter by leading thoughtful, impactful, and mission-driven programming that honors our history while responding to the evolving needs of our community.
Goals to Honor Our Legacy
  • Build on our chapter's rich history of excellence by creating strong, well-executed programs that position us for greater recognition and awards
  • Honor our legacy through action by ensuring our programs continue to reflect our values, sisterhood, and commitment to service
  • For nearly 50 years, our chapter has dedicated service, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the Greater Harlem Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. I will work with the Nursing Home committee toward securing a permanent recognition within the facility—such as dedicating the Fourth Floor or the First Floor Garden Room in honor of NYAC's decades of service and commitment.
IIPillar Two

Leading in Service.

My vision for Leading in Service is positioning our chapter to serve with intention, consistency, and impact to support our catchment area through intentional programming, strategic partnerships and collaborative action.
Goals for Leading in Service

  • Expanding our service programs and projects across our catchment area
  • Develop stronger community partnerships with local organizations, schools, and service providers to amplify service and social action efforts

IIIPillar Three

Standing on Business.

My vision for Standing on Business is to strengthen the structure behind our programming by creating clear processes and strong systems, facilitating smooth transitions and responsible planning. This will help to ensure our chapter delivers excellent, impactful programs with consistency and care. Our chapter's work should be organized, compliant, strategic, and effective!
Goals to Standing on Business
  • Ensure compliance with chapter priorities and regional and national initiatives
  • Develop a committee starter kit with essential planning resources, expectations, and guidance for chairs (including a program/project planning checklist)
  • Strengthen planning systems by providing committees with clear tools, templates, and timelines to ensure compliance with chapter priorities and regional and national initiatives
  • As a member of the Budget & Finance Committee, ensure workshops are conducted to support chairs with budgeting guidance and program development resources, including grants
