Meet NicoleBenitez.
To my Sorors.
Please allow me to introduce myself.
I am Nicole Benitez, a native New Yorker who has proudly called Central Harlem home for the past two decades. I am a mom—my best title yet—an Administrative Law Judge, advocate, community volunteer, sister, friend, change agent, Delta, and your candidate for Second Vice President of the New York Alumnae Chapter.
Like many of you, I wear many hats as I balance the responsibilities of family, work, friendship and service in Delta. Since crossing into Deltaland, I have remained an active and committed member. Some have called me a "Super D," and I wear that with pride because my service has never been performative—it has been purposeful. For the past 12 years, I have led, served, supported, and shown up for our chapter and our sorority with consistency, excellence, and heart.
As a civil servant, and an Administrative Law Judge, I work closely with some of our most vulnerable populations. Every day, I see the realities facing our communities: financial instability, food insecurity, barriers to education, and limited economic opportunity. These challenges are not abstract—they are immediate, personal, and present throughout our service area and beyond. They call us to lead with intention, urgency, and impact.
That is why I am seeking to serve as your Second Vice President and Chair of Program Planning and Development. The needs are great sorors, and while we cannot do everything, we can be more strategic in how we serve. I believe our chapter is uniquely positioned to expand its footprint, strengthen strategic partnerships, deepen collaboration, and deliver programs that respond to real community needs. We have the legacy, the talent, and the sisterhood to do even more—and to do it with excellence.
I do not make promises I cannot keep. If elected, I will bring vision, cohesion, and a deep commitment to ensuring that our programming reflects both the needs of our community and the strength of our chapter. I will work to help us grow our impact across our service area, support strong and effective planning, and make certain that our chapter continues to lead in service, social action, and sisterhood.
We are THE FIRST, and I believe our actions should reflect that distinction. Not only in word, but in service. Not only in legacy, but in leadership. Not only in history, but in impact.
